South Africa based Ugandan socialite, Zari Hassan and her baby daddy, Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz are at it again, with the former’s temper flaring as secrets are revealed, claims made and insults thrown.
Following the premiere of Netflix reality show Young, Famous and African where the two ex-lovers are part of the cast, the demons have been re-awakened.
Zari in a post she shared on Instagram twice on Saturday, May 20, 2023 that got deleted by the app shortly after it was reported, allegedly by Diamond and his fans got reposted moments later, still acerbic and laced with an overload of vitriol.
It should be noted that Diamond and Ghanaian rapper, Fantana are romantically involved in the unscripted reality show and the disrespect for Zari by the Ghanaian is over the roof.
Zari wrote an open letter to Diamond: “My post was deleted but bruh… ain’t settling for less have so much regard for u as the father of my kids and nothing can come between that. If there was a chance for us to get back together you’d come running back. How u sitting with (temporary people in your life) discussing me leaves me in awe. U can (smash) anyone u want without using me as a bet.”
Zari also claimed her baby daddy is obsessed with her that if she called him back, he would drop Fantana and all his other women like hot potatoes. And that she is exercising restraint because of their children.
“I don’t want u, im not obsessed u, matter of fact it’s the opp (you are obsessed with me, u can’t seem to replace me) U will come running like a cheetah if I called u back. I’m only reasonable for respect sake. For the sake of the kids. They (kids) Google stuff some I can explain some I can’t,” she fumed.
About the Number One singer saying she wants more children with him got him cancelled, meaning those trips to South Africa to check on their children, Tiffah and Nilan is over! And if anything, there is a legal spectacle of a custody battle loading.
“You get on a whole show that’s NOT scripted and lie about me. Lie how I want kids with u, how I’m obsessed wit u. Like who the fuck are you for me ZARI THE BOSS LADY to be obsessed. You’ll forever be in my life bcoz of kids but not how I’ve been welcoming you. You are CANCELLED, and if you don’t like it, let the court decide. I don’t need us,” she added.
And then a wild claim was made; nobody knew Diamond in East Africa until she happened to him.
“Last I checked the whole EA didn’t know u till I introduced u on scene. I was millionaire famous, driving Porsche cars, owning properties, smart and beautiful. You forever letting these so called 20 year old disrespect me for the sake of you getting (sex) is not worth it. You are DIAMOND, u can get any person you want without involving me.”
Then she assured him that she is now a wife, and also accused Netflix of editing the reality show in such away that it makes everything very dramatic. Recall Nigerian singer, 2Face’s wife, Annie Idibia also accused the show of doing the same to her in season one.
“I’m a whole married woman right now and your (claims) didn’t sit well with my marriage. The show to only edit parts which suit them is absurd. I MADE IT CLEAR IM WITH SOMEONE NOW, I can’t have kids with u (netflix edited the oart out). How everywhore thinks of u highly to disreapect me is sad…. I don’t ask a single cent from because I single handedly take care of my (stuff),” she ranted.
Then, boom! She poured some water on the fire. The gratitude part came: “U only hear from me when its kids fees that you pay annually (and I appreciate you for that.) Emotional support, medical, sleepless nights to mention afew is all one. Stop putting me situations with low life (people) for clout. I’ve noticed u live for clout, without it, u can’t breath.”
And Fantana received her package too: “I’m a self-made billionaire and I will not have your sperm bins (put me in a category I don’t belong) failed music career with 5 bbls, face like he/she 46m. You can report my post but it’s what it is…. I’m telling my truth and nothing bit the truth…”
The last trailer Netflix shared indicated that this Season II was not going to be Zari’s finest especially her series of clashes with Fantana over Diamond.
Zari was seen firing back at her, “I have two kids with that man”, infront the cast with a mixture or anger and frustration in her voice. Then she asked the rapper: “Are you jealous now?”
Fantana replied: “Two kids and you still couldn’t keep him,” with Diamond seated across the table looking sideways.
