Singer Ykee Benda should dedicate more time to studio lest he risks losing some of his fans owing to time he spends on social media bashing them.
On Tuesday, May 17, he was engaged in a war of words with a Twitter fan who called Ykee’s baby mama names.
At the time, Ykee Benda, who was engaged in tongue-in-cheek exchanges with his fans, descended into a four-letter-slanging match with a fan who described Jackie Batenga, his baby mama, as a reformed prostitute.
Using his official handle, he responded to a certain Nakawunde. “I know you pleasure men for a living. How about you get a real job?” he fumed.
Although Ykee Benda’s fans were quick to remind him that he was straying, he continued. “My morning is free. I am ready to rant all morning” he posted.
“And you think this is funny @Ykee? What a shame,” a one @Bakaralsa wrote.
Ykee was unapologetic. “I don’t think I like people who think they are the only ones who can go ghetto. You show no respect, you get none in return,” he vowed.
It isn’t the first time Ykee Benda is embroiled in a war of words with fans.
In January 2021, Ykee Benda found himself in bitter exchange with National Unity Platform fans after Nubian Li was arrested during Bobi Wine’s campaigns.
This was after Ykee, who was the Uganda Musicians Association president then, took to social media and demanded for the release of Nigerian singers Omah Lay and Tems.
Ykee told Tweeps that Nubian Li is not locked on Twitter and reminded them that he is not the one giving out bail.
He later resigned his position.
