Yasser Mugerwa has denied agreeing to mutually terminate his contract with city club Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club ( KCCA FC).

This comes after the club decided to part ways with eight  first team players.

In a communication released by the club on Wednesday,m The eight players are Samson Kigozi, Davis Kasirye, Innocent Wafula, Erisa Ssekisambu, Patrick Kaddu, Joseph Bukenya, Gift Ali and Yassar Mugerwa.

In the same communication, Yasser Mugerwa, who signed a 2-year contract with the 13-time champions was said to have “mutually terminated” his contract, a claim he denies.

He took to Twitter to voice his displeasure.  “ I am a graduate who understands what mutually terminated means,” he wrote. He followed it with another cryptic post, “ knowledge becomes power only when you put it into use,”

Sources close to the player reveal that Mugerwa’s displeasure stems from the fact that he departs while demanding the club some money.  “Mugerwa still demands part of his sign on fees and isn’t happy with the club letting him go without fulfilling their part.” Sources relayed.

KCCA has so far signed two players in the ongoing transfer window. Moses Waiswa joined the club from SuperSport United while Faisal Wabyoona joined from Big Talent Soccer Academy.
