Joshua Cheptegei, Uganda’s greatest athlete of all time is again in the news for good reasons.
The Olympic gold and silver medalist through his Joshua Cheptegei Development Foundation (JOCDEF) joined hands with the Spanish doctors to offer free treatment to injured Ugandan athletes.
The exercise which started on Monday, 14 June runs throughout the week at JOCDEF offices Kapchorwa Municipality.
It all started last year when another group of sports doctors from Spain jetted in and installed a new state of art physiotherapy clinic at JOCDEF.

Back then, a renowned former cross-country and motorsports official doctor Jordi Reid Mira led the group of Spanish philanthropists.
As it was the case in the past, a travel company based in Entebbe, Rift Valley is the other partner helping Cheptegei with logistics and the inland travels of the medics.
Benjamin Njia, an official at JOCDEF told Kampala Sun that the move is to ensure that athletes, who will represent the country in the looming World Athletics Championship and Commonwealth Games, are injury free.
Specializing in orthopedic surgery, orthopedic sports medicine and arthroscopy and injury management and prevention, the sports medics are sure that Ugandans should brace themselves for more successes in the global stage events.
By Press time, at a free cost, doctors had treated up to 50 established athletes whom they say had chronic and career threatening injuries.
In delight, the relieved athletes who were treated waxed lyrical of Cheptegei foundation for partnering with the Spanish doctors.
