Vinka is making waves with her latest single Bailando, a fusion of Afro pop and dancehall.
Clocking in at three minutes and thirty-nine seconds, her deliberate use of vocalisation, especially on the harmonies, channels the old masters and adds to the song’s charm.
Produced and written by Daddy Andre, Bailando is a party and love vibe song.
The video, shot by Marvin Musoke, features scenes from the bedroom, supermarket, and party, with impressive choreography from Icy Sonia and Abi Charity.
This is Vinka’s first single dropped this year and it’s already topping charts, with streams on global streaming platforms, including the biggest hits playlist on Apple Music, the Today’s Hits.
The singer has been under Swangz Avenue management since 2016 and in 2018, she signed a long time deal with Sony where it retained Swangz Avenue for management.
