By the time of filing this report singer Deus Ndugwa popularly known as Grenade official had spent a night in the coolers at Kajjansi Police Station.
If his American Arab ex-girlfriend’s resolve is anything to go by, Grenade, 24 should spend a longer time behind bars.
In exclusive interview with The Kampala Sun in the presence of her lawyers, the ex-girlfriend who caused his arrest on Tuesday wants him tried in court for theft and practicing witchcraft during their time together.
When we thought lothario Grenade would strengthen his relationship the ‘normal’ way by ensuring the bed shook regularly, he went supernatural by engaging in witchcraft.
The shaken ex said, “When I was in America, he engaged in pretty bizarre things. I have a recording of him in a shrine consulting with Jajjas. I didn’t even know what that meant. When I confronted him, he claimed he was talking to his grandparents but apparently, they are not,” she said.
She further explains, “It is very scary to me and I don’t want to be involved in something like that (witchcraft). He came to my house with cuts on his chest, which was very bizarre and that is when I asked him to leave,”
She also claims Grenade made off with her Apple watch and wants it back. She has also asked him to stop texting him and sending emissaries to pleas for their reconciliation.
On Tuesday, Grenade was arrested and briefly detained at Kajjansi Police Station on suspicion of forcing himself into the ex-lover’s home.
This was after the ‘Nkuloga’ singer’s girlfriend filed a trespassing complaint with police and also claimed that Grenade was threatening to assault her.
In April, a video did rounds of Grenade being thrown out of the apartment located at the Akright Kakungulu Estates.
In a bid to win her back, the singer ignored the complaint and went back to ask for forgiveness, and this is when the police arrested him and took him to the Kajjansi police station. He is yet to be paraded in court. The two met at a high end hangout in town. Before hitting it off romantically, Grenade was linked to a number of older women, notably Nalongo Maggie Kiweesi.
