Fans in Dubai this week expressed their disappointment after Cindy Sanyu failed to honour an invitation for a performance.
The singer, vying for the presidency of the Uganda Musicians Association, sparked the anger of fans who had paid their hard-earned money to watch her perform.
To their dismay, Cindy stayed holed in the hotel room with her husband Prynce Joel Atiku as revellers bayed for her and the promoter’s blood.
Cindy and Mudra were booked by Kats Promotions and the pair were expected to thrill revellers at Legends Bar on May 29, 2022.
However, on the day of the performance, Cindy refused to leave the hotel room. Word abound that she demanded to bank her balance in the bra before stepping on stage.
Sources close to the singer revealed that Cindy was meant to receive her balance before stepping on the stage.
Although Cindy has not yet come out to clarify on the stories doing rounds, Mudra explains that a cocktail off issues led to the impasse. He cited ego, the recent death of the Saudi Crown Prince Sheikh Khalifa died at the age of 73, money and more money.
