Ugandan child hip hop artiste Ring Rapper Ratata (born Jonathan Ssenabulya) has claimed that he has a collabo with Jamaican rapper Sean Paul in the works. Sean Paul, who last performed in Uganda a decade a goal, is a multiple Grammy Award winner.

According to Ring Rapper’s manager, Ibra Buwembo, the rapper was recognised by Sean Paul’s management team when he made a cover of the Jamaican’s club banger, Like Glue, which made rounds on social media.

“When he made the cover of Like Glue and Sean Paul’s management saw it, they offered to help the singer grow by offering him a collabo,” says Buwembo. “The audio will be released next week. They recorded their part from America and we recorded ours from Uganda and sent it to them,” he reveals.

Buwembo also claims that the video will later be shot in Jamaica and South Africa. “After shooting the video in Jamaica and South Africa, we shall release it,” he bragged.

A number of Ugandans including Bobi Wine, Chameleone and Peter Miles have had collabos with Jamaican reggae stars. Whether the Ring Rapper-Sean Paul collaboration is a figment of Buwembo’s mind, only time will tell.
