The Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) has paid tribute to entertainer/former MP Kato Lubwama, who died on Wednesday at 1:00am after suffering a heart attack while he was being driven to his home after work.
In a statement, the association said Lubwama was a legend because of his contribution to the entertainment Industry.
“His contribution to the industry was nothing short of extraordinary. His distinctive voice, electrifying performances, and unwavering passion captivated audiences across the nation, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts,” they said.
They said Kato was a guiding light and source of inspiration for countless artistes and he selflessly shared his knowledge and experience, uplifting and nurturing young talents, making an invaluable contribution to the growth of our industry.
“As we grieve this immeasurable loss, let us remember the joy and inspiration Kato Lubwama brought into our lives. His songs will continue to reverberate through the airwaves, reminding us of his incredible spirit and leaving an everlasting legacy for future generations,” the statement further read
They ended the statement by saying that his departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but said that the association will do their best to make sure that his legacy lives forever.
