The Uganda Broadcasting Corporation(UBC) has apologized for a technical glitch that led to the switching off of some free to air TV channels
The affected channels include Bukedde TV 1 and other local TV channels
They have been off air for a week but the management of UBC,the company that operates signet systems that hosts all free to air TV stations in Uganda have said they working around the clock to fix the problem
“ We are currently experiencing technical difficulties that are affecting free to air TV stations on the UBC platform. Our technical team is working diligently to restore the affected channels. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused. Sincerely,we apologize for the disruption of the service,” they said in a letter
There was panic among the public as many cannot access these channels despite some taking actions like scanning of the channels
