Embattled Tiktoker Teddy Nalubowa alias Tracy Manule Bobiholic has finally been released on bail after spending weeks in prison over offensive communication when she recorded a video celebrating the death of former security minister Gen Elly Tumwine.
Apparently, she’s said to have shared the clips on social media which landed her into trouble.
She was picked by security operatives from her home after her video recording went viral on Tik Tok and other social media platforms in Uganda.
Tracy Manule Bobiholic was charged with offensive communication contrary to Section 25 of the Computer Misuse Act 2011, on September 9, 2022, and remanded to Luzira prison after spending more than 10 days in police custody.
According to the statement shared by her lawyer and Kampala Woman MP Hon.Shamim Malende has confirmed that Tracy Manule has been granted cash bail of sh500,000 and a non cash bail of sh10m for each of her two sureties.
“COURT at Buganda Road: Today bail has been granted for Comrade TRACY MANULE at Sh500,000- cash and Sh10,000,000(Ten million shillings) non cash for each of the two sureties.
Case for mention on 2/11/2022 before Her Worship Marion Mangeni. Charge is offensive communication, accused alleged to have celebrated death of Gen Elly Tumwine. Thank you for the solidarity,” she wrote.
