The 10th NCBA Golf Series Tournament 2022 ends in style

The 10th leg of the NCBA  regional golf series tournament ended on Saturday at Uganda Golf Club with several golfers walk away with prizes.

Minister of energy and mineral development, Ruth Nankabirwa handed over trophy and prize to overall winner Emmanuel Wamala who scored 43 points.

 Other winners in group A were Moses Matsiko and Jammie Byaruhanga, Group B ,Patrick Kagoro and Hannington Mpiima, Brenda Maraka won group B ladies with 43 points and Chinese Lin won group A ladies with 36 points on count back over Jeninah  Nasimolo.

The winners and guests were all treated to dinner and music interludes especially during the awarding ceremony that went on up to 10.00pm.

Over 150 golfers (invitational) teed off at the ever green 18-hole golf course.  Some of the winners booked their  berths to play at the grand finale in December, at the prestigious Muthaiga Golf Club in Nairobi city.

NCBA group managing director John Gachora hailed all the participants and parteners saying the NCBA  will continue to support and help the young golfers generation.

Mark Muyobo managing director of NCBA  asserts that the NCBA Golf series will provide  platform to improve amateur golfers in the East African region.

“This league of the NCBA Golf series at the Uganda Golf Club offers a great platform for amateur golfers to compete and improve their skills, which is one of the goals for these series. It is also a platform to interact with stakeholders from different regions and play at the grand finale in December this year at Muthaiga Golf Club,”  he said.

However there was no  lucky golfer could drive home with car , after no  successful golfer could play or shoot  hole in one shot on the par three-hole number nine.  CFAO Motors  join Crown Beverages Limited as the other partners.
