Nina Roz (Nina Ankunda) has blamed substance abuse for the domestic violence in Weasel’s home. The singer, who has been in and out of rehab due to drug abuse, is a close friend of Weasel.
Weasel allegedly beat her live-in girlfriend Sandra Teta recently. Last week, Luke Owesigire, the Kampala Metropolitan police deputy spokesperson, announced a search for Weasel over the alleged abuse.
Surprisingly, Weasel performed at a show in Munyonyo last Friday, with police providing security to the partygoers. Police officers looking for someone they guard is not just puzzling, but laughable.
“Weasel is violent because of addiction. If he kicks the habit, he will become a good man to Sandra,” she said in an interview recently.
“Drugs can ruin you and you lose everything good in your life. If you don’t have a support system around you, drugs can end your career. I am Weasel’s friend and I will do my best to restrain him from them,” said Nina Roz.
We however could not ascertain whether Weasel uses any illicit drugs. He has however been known to drink alcohol.
