The Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among, together with her husband, Budiope East MP Moses Magogo, have hosted the Kyabazinga at their residence in Budiope, Buyende district in Busoga.
“We are humbled to host His Royal Highness the Kyabazinga of Busoga William Gabula Nadiope IV at our residence in Budiope East Constituency, Buyende district. We had a fruitful discussion about how we can work together to push the development agenda of the kingdom and support initiatives to eradicate poverty in this beautiful kingdom,” Among posted on her Twitter page, shortly after the meeting on Saturday, August 20.
According to Among, the leaders discussed unity and social-economic transformation of the people of Busoga sub-region which is made of 11 districts.
The Speaker thanked the Kyabazinga for honouring them with his visit and pledged her unconditional support to the kingdom in pursuing its development objectives.
Like a wife at home, Among, who, at some point, introduced herself to the electorate as Among Magogo ushered the Kyabazinga into their residence in Budiope.
When the Kyabazinga entered their house, Among, who was in the company of Magogo, knelt and greeted the Isebantu.
On bended knees, Among offered the Kyabazinga of Busoga Kingdom a glass of water ahead of the meeting.
After exchanging greetings, the Speaker and some MPs from Busoga sub-region entered into a closed-door meeting that lasted about 30 minutes, before seeing off the Kyabazinga.
