US rapper Rick Ross has continued his conquest of Africa after drawing circles all around Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz’s baby mamas the last few years.
In June 2021, Rick Ross took to photo sharing App Instagram, where he left a “You are moving to the US” comment on Hamisa Mobetto’s post, and she replied, “All my bags are packed. I’m ready.”
The rapper made the comment on a photo of her standing in front of a Range Rover automobile she had captioned, “I’m trying not to be in a relationship. I’m trying to be in a Range Rover.”
In November 2021, photos emerged of the two partying away at a Dubai nightclub. In May 2022, during an Instagram Live session, the rapper said he was dating the mother of two.
In December 2022, the rapper shared a clip on Instagram endorsing Diamond’s Ugandan baby mama socialite Zari Hassan’s All White Party, leaving Mobetto’s fans seething with anger online. They accused Zari of dispensing revenge since Mobetto had a child, Dylan, with Diamond when he was still with Zari, partly the reason they broke up.
Fast forward, it is 2023 and Rick Ross has expressed interest in Nigerian music sensation Ayra Starr in a viral video, saying she is beautiful and that they will celebrate like stars on his next visit to West African country.
“…I wanna take it all the way to Nigeria, to a superstar, beautiful, the one and only Ayra Starr… So ama make a toast to Ayra Starr. When I come over there, we’re going to celebrate like bosses…,” said the Maybach Music label boss.
Ross has visited Nigeria twice – first in 2012 and then 2022 – only the Rush hitmaker has grabbed his attention this much.
Ayra Starr performed in Kampala in July 2022 at the tenth anniversary of Blankets and Wine.
