Uganda’s only BET Award winner Eddy Kenzo dreams of watching his two daughters; Aamaal and Maya, tie the knot one day.

Maya will turn 11 years on September 28, while Aamaal will turn eight years on December 26, 2022.

“I pray to Allah to give me more wisdom and life. I would like to live longer to watch my daughters getting married,” the Sitya Loss singer revealed in an interview.

Kenzo never married any of the mothers of his children. Aamaal’s mother, singer Rema, is married to a doctor, Hamza Sebunya.

He further discussed the use of South African beats Amapiano in Ugandan songs.

“Amapiano is not ours; it is imported, although I have no problem with those that have used it in their songs because they have to make money,” Kenzo said.

The singer is gearing up for his upcoming Eddy Kenzo festival, which is tipped to happen on November 12, 2022, at Kololo Independence Grounds, under the theme, Celebrating Ugandan Music.

The festival was originally supposed to be held on March 28, 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic put a halt to it.
