Hajjati Kulthum Nabunya, a renowned doctor and former wife of the late Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata, recently made a revelation about her current husband, Acram Gumisiriza.
In an interview, she addressed critics who speculated that Gumisiriza had taken another wife and might leave her soon. Nabunya confidently stated that her husband, being a devout Muslim, has the right to practice polygamy, as it is within the tenets of Islam.
“My husband has the liberty to marry up to three additional women. Being a Muslim, he is entitled to this privilege. If he decides to take on more wives, it is a matter between him and me, rather than the public. However, if he were to exceed the limit of four wives and marry a fifth, it would be considered a violation of Islamic rules,” she explained.
These statements were made in response to a viral video in which socialite Shanitah Namuyimbwa (Bad Black) speculated that Gumisiriza could be having other women apart from Nabunya.
The couple tied the knot in 2022, a year after the passing of Sheikh Muzaata.
