Singer Roden Y Kabako has for the past few months been embroiled in land wrangles with local authorities in Busabala. Just when we thought Roden Y and his wife Damuna had gone one better on the area LC 1 chairman, who they accuse of colluding to fleece them of their land, it is back to square one. The couple has been barred from putting up any construction on the disputed land.
Kabako, who had kick-started the construction of the house early this month was ordered to stop until the matters are resolved. It is recounted the area local committee headed by Chairman, Ntuuyo Steven asked him to keep away from the disputed land.
“The committee sat and agreed to stop the construction as of now. The chairman asked Kabako not to continue with the building for now,” a neighbour reveals.
The sinher and his equally vocal wife are adamant they will go on with construction.
Kabako is battling the ownership of the land with one Hajjati Namusisi. She claims she has documents to prove she bought the land before Kabako..
