Kampala Woman Member of Parliament Shamim Malende has returned from Aga Khan Hospital, Nairobi following months of illness.
Malende, who has been undergoing treatment for over four months, was flown to Nairobi in critical condition for specialised treatment.
Jetting in on Monday, February 27, Malende, who is also the National Unity Platform party lawyer, collapsed unconscious at her home in Kawempe, Kampala before she was rushed by her husband, Salim Ssebunya, to Uganda Martyrs Hospital, Kampala.

“I am now feeling a little bit better, but I’m still on treatment,” pushed in her wheelchair, she addressed a crowd.
“I shall keep going back for a medical review,” Malende added before she leaft.
Malende vowed to continue from where she stopped to make sure that all the ‘political prisoners’ are released.
“Thank you, my people, for giving me such a huge welcome back home. Thank you all who continue to pray and wish me well. Am indebted, always at your service,” she told the mammoth crowd that welcomed her.
