Miss Tourism Uganda team will this Friday be in Busoga ahead of the crowning of Miss Tourism Busoga.

The 10 beauty queens of Busoga will vie for the positions of Miss Tourism Busoga, first runner and second runner up at an event that will be organized in Kagulu.

Ahead of the crowning, the queens have been in boot camp and one of the activities they took part in was to visit the Kagulu rock which is one of the biggest tourism destinations. The rock that rises 3,500 feet above sea level attracts tourists from different parts of the world to take part in hiking to the top of the rock.

This year’s pageant was launched in May 7th at the Uganda Museum under the theme ‘Rethinking Tourism’. The pageant will have the grand finale take place at the Kampala Serena Hotel on September 23rd and the winner from the 12 regions that include Ankole, Teso, Busoga, Bunyoro, Northern, Eastern, Buganda, Tooro, Rwenzori, West Nile, Karamoja and Kigezi will be crowned this year’s Miss Tourism Uganda.

This year’s winner will receive the crown Susan Kahunde, a Miss Tourism Queen who became the reigning queen after emerging winner from the scientific event that took place at Serena in November last year during lock down.

After Busoga’s crowning this weekend, the next destination the team will take is Miss Tourism Tooro. The whole regional Miss Tourism search is powered by Hawks Eye Lodge Bunyonyi.
