Renowned film director and cinematographer Loukman Ali has finally released his highly-anticipated short film titled Ubuntu Uppercut.

This action-packed martial arts extravaganza chronicles the gripping tale of a determined fighter embarking on a mission to rescue his abducted daughter, only to find himself entangled in a ferocious battle against a kung-fu master.

Running for a concise duration of five minutes and 40 seconds, the film showcases impeccable craftsmanship in terms of picture quality, lighting, sound editing, and set design.

In an interview with The Kampala Sun, Loukman attributed his decision to keep the film short to the significant financial constraints involved in creating a full-length feature.

However, he expressed optimism that a longer version might materialise, thanks to potential sponsors who have shown interest in the project.

Delving into the reason behind his penchant for leaving audiences in suspense, the filmmaker unveiled his love for employing this technique as one of the most effective ways to captivate viewers.

The star-studded cast of the film includes renowned singer Alexander Bagonza (A Pass), as well as esteemed actors Michael Wawuyo Jnr, Kizza Mansour Ssejjemba and Lucy Bunyenyezi.

The movie premiered on Loukman’s YouTube channel.
