Kenzo withdraws from USA Madaraka Music Festival

Singer Eddy Kenzo has withdrawn from the USA Madaraka Music Festivals 2023.

He made the announcement on his social media pages on Wednesday morning, May 24, saying he couldn’t make it because of the commitments he has in his home country, Uganda.

“I know you are excited to see me perform during the on-going Madaraka tour. I deeply appreciate you for showing up in large numbers in Atlanta. Unfortunately, I will not be taking part this time around, but I will take part in the 2024 edition,” Kenzo said.

He apologised to his US fans for being a no show, but urged them to attend the events in large numbers.

The May 2023 Madaraka music festivals will take place In New York, Atlanta, Dallas and Seattle, US.

Other artistes that will be there include Kenyan music Group Sauti Sol and Kenyan rapper King Kaka.

The Madaraka Festival brings Africa’s finest musicians and creatives together with world renowned artistes and innovators for a celebration of music and civic purpose.

The festival will have live musical performances, African food, and art!

The festival will also be streamed for a global audience on YouTube and Facebook and has been happening every year since 2014 todate.
