The Budo League Peaky Blinders Class of 2014 and the Midnight Express class of 2010 hosted Matchday 15 at Legends Rugby Grounds in Lugogo on July 3.

The day’s line up of activities ensured that all who attended were active.

By 10:00am, anticipation was high and throats had already opened for the beer to flow.

With Guinness sold at a discount, there was talk about the economy pushing Budonians into the “cheap goods” category.

Peaky Blinders, the champions of last season, beat Dujay 1-0; Monday Law smacked Jubilewos 4-0; Basunzi thrilled Quadballo 2-1; Thazobalo drew with Masappe 1-1; Midnight Express won against Kommunoballo 2-1; Takoradi thumped Galacticos 4-1; Bifa beat Abachuba 1-0 and Centurions secured a win against Accumulators 1-0, wrapping up Matchday 15 games for the days with only four clean sheets.

At dusk, the freaky nature of the old students could not be hidden any longer.

DJ Aliza kicked up things on the decks before Kohen Jaycee surprised many with his strong vocals. He performed to songs like Your Number and Whine Slow.

Kataleya and Kandle, as famous for their singing talent as much as body parts, used the occasion to cement their arrival on the crowded music scene.

The consistent chants throughout their performance of songs like Nkunonya, Tonnafuya, Muzibe wa Love, Do Me said it all.
