Kadongo Kamu singer Hassan Ndugga is being hunted by the Police over failure to perform in South Sudan.

Over the weekend, he survived being arrested from Sembabule district where he had gone to perform with singer Chris Evans Kaweesi. Instead, the Police arrested Evans, who spent a night at Sembabule Central Police station.

The Police released Evans on Monday, June 5, because he had no crime to answer.

According to Ndugga, he failed to show up in South Sudan because he never wanted to travel by bus as the promoter had proposed.

“There’s a lot of insecurity between the Ugandan border and Juba. Travellers are being attacked day and night. I had to reject travelling by bus for my own safety,” he said in a recent television interview.

Ndugga said he had asked the promoters for money to travel with Uganda Airlines, but they sent the money late ,something which forced him to abandon the deal despite being paid a deposit.
