Ugandans could witness the biggest rock festival as Uganda hosts Italian rock stars Voodoo Monkeys at this year’s UG Rock festival on November 5, 2022, at Motiv Industrial Area.
The UG Rock Festival is an annual rock-themed event. Its first edition happened in 2019 but was later shattered by the advent of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Rock music, also called rock and roll, rock & roll, or rock ’n’ roll, is a form of popular music that emerged in the 1950s originating from the United States and other English-speaking countries. It was popularized by stars like; Stevie Ray Vaughan, Michael Bolton, Alice Cooper, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and several more.
The festival will feature another rock band: The Rash Band from Kenya and deejays; DJ Tumz, DJ Jo, Phil Kirya, DJ Wil, Phyvs, DJ Denzel and so many more.
To be part of the event, Ugandans will have to pay Sh.30,000 for ordinary and Sh.450,000 for a table.
