Singer Evelyn Lagu(real name Evelyn Nakabira) has begged events promoters and organizers to hire her for shows because feels stronger and better in health.
In an interview, the ailing singer revealed that promoters do not want to book her for shows because they think she is not fine. She assured promoters that she is strong enough to wiggle and mingle on stage, so they should give her a chance.
“I call upon promoters to give me some shows to perform because now I have some strength to walk, stand, dance, and perform,” she said.
The singer also revealed that she has to perform because she needs money to facilitate her treatment.
“That’s one of the ways I can afford my medical bills and everything necessary for my health,” she added.
Evelyn Lagu is battling kidney complications and needs huge amounts of money to foot her bills.
Tired of begging for money, the singer put up a concert dubbed “An Evening with Evelyn Dinner Concert” in June 2022 but was canceled.
She is known for her songs; Mbulira, Ogumanga, Ngukuwadde, Mbeerawo, Wanjawulo, Sikyatya and several more.
