Swangz Avenue’s new songbird Zafaran (real name Josephine Nakyoonyi) recently released her debut song with the label dubbed Sweetheart and it is circulating online like a wildfire.
The online audience has been debating on whether she will measure up to the stiff competition in the label, which consists of; Winnie Nwagi, Vinka, and Azawi.
Well, the singer and songwriter is not scared of the competition.
Zafaran revealed during an interview that she trusts in God and believes she will make it if she is destined to.
“If it is my time, I will also shine. I am not scared of them (Vinka, Nwagi, and Azawi),” she said.
Zafaran, however, pointed out that she doesn’t think that the artistes in Swangz Avenue are competing against one each other.
Swangz Avenue is the most successful record label in Uganda and despite having several artistes signed under it, all of them have thrived concurrently.
As Winnie Nwagi shakes what her mama gave her in Sasi Ku Nyama, it is Azawi’s year with Party Mood, My Year, Slow Dancing, and Majje, while Vinka is trending with Thank God and Fimbo.
