Hundreds of revellers flocked to Glory Summit Hotel in Hoima City on Saturday, July 23, to witness the launch of fried chicken on the hotel’s menu.
Several corporate organisations in Bunyoro sub-region participated in the event which was full of entertainment.
The event kicked off at 7:00pm when the huge venue was finally filled by revellers.
Local artistes kicked off the night by entertaining people on the stage.
When Hoima-based artiste Keith Byaruhanga was announced as the next performer on the stage, the cheers were proof that he was loved.
The crowd knew each word from the three songs he sang.

There were notable guests, who included Pius Wakabi, the Member of Parliament of Buhaguzi County in Hoima district; Brian Kaboyo, the Hoima City mayor and Peter Banura, the Kikuube district LC5 chairperson.
“Hoima, being one of Uganda’s strategic cities, is developing very fast because of the oil and gas activities. As leaders, we are happy that our hotel industry is growing very fast and introducing new innovations that will serve the people,” Kaboyo said.
He said there was a need for people to invest in the hotel industry in Hoima city and tap into the opportunities that come with the oil and gas sector.
Dr. Lawrence Bategeka, the proprietor, said they had also developed an App where customers can make orders for fried chicken.
“One doesn’t need to come to the hotel, we have an App which our customers can download and access our services online and we deliver chicken to their offices or homes,” Bategeka said.
The event was crowned with cutting of cake.
