Hoima City dances to fried chicken

Thousands of revelers flocked to the Glory Summit Hotel located in Hoima City on Saturday to witness the first edition of the fried chicken launch.

The first fried chicken edition kicked off at 7pm when the huge venue finally filled with revelers. Local artists kicked off the performances

The venue was full of vibes as the lineup also had a couple of guests who included Pius Wakabi the Member of Parliament of Buhaguzi County in Hoima district, Brain Kaboyo the Hoima City Mayor, Peter Banura the Kikuube district LCV chairperson and many other business people.

When Hoima -based artiste Keith Byaruhanga was announced on stage, it was proof that he was loved at home by the cheers that welcomed him on stage.

Kaboyo the Hoima city mayor said that it was the first of its kind for such innovation to be launched in Hoima.

“Hoima being one of Uganda’s strategic cities is developing very fast because of the oil and gas activities. As leaders we are happy that our hotel industry is growing very fast and introducing new innovations that will serve the people,” Kaboyo said.

Kaboyo said that there was a need for the people to invest in the hotel industry in Hoima city and tap into the opportunities that come with the oil and gas sector.

“As leaders we have developed a marketing strategy for Hoima city and we need people to invest in the hotel sector because we expect a lot of people because of the oil and gas industry,” Kaboyo said.

Dr. Lawrence Bategeka the proprietor said that they had also developed an app where customers can make orders for fried chicken and get served in their offices.
