Gospel singer Rinic Jemimah wins VIGA Award, parades accolades

The 2021/ 2022 Victoria Gospel Music Awards (VIGA) recognized a number of outstanding works released between January to December 2021.

Gospel artistes in over 40 categories were recognized. However, none celebrated more than 10-year-old Rinic Jemimah, who won the junior music category. 

Jemimah, a primary four pupil at Gombe Junior School prodigiously come out and paraded her music accolades that God has enabled her to achieve in this year.

“God has done for me again. I have won four different music awards”, she told our journalist, explaining that she has bagged herself accolades including Katika Music Awards (New upcoming artist of the year), Famous Teens Awards (Next big thing category), Hi Skool Award (Country’s new generation category) and the VIGA Award (Junior music category).

Rinic Jemimah has done many good songs recorded in Luganda and English and collabos with cream artists in the circuit including Levixone, and DJ Shiru, to mention a few.

The Viga Awards, a brain child of Prince Nick Nyombi are gospel music awards in Uganda that seek to recognize and reward gospel and media personalities for their contribution to the gospel industry, bringing together various high-profile figures including clerics, artists, music and media executives, diplomats, corporate and business leaders among others.
