The family of the late blogger, Ibrahim Tusubira alias Isma Olaxess, is seeking funds to hold duwa prayers for him.

The 51-year-old blogger was shot dead on Saturday, May 6, 2023, around 9:15pm, near his home in Kyanja Central zone, Kampala.

In a TV interview on Wednesday, May 31, Olaxess’ father, Muhammad Kasajja, said they have plans to hold prayers at their Nkokonjeru country home in his remembrance .

“We are looking for funds to do this event. I will talk to people who were close to the blogger and we see how can fundraise and organise this event in the coming month,” he said.

Kasajja also said he is finding it hard to convince the Police to release his late son’s Toyota Hiace van because he doesn’t have documents for it.

“Some people have told the Police not to give me the van because they claim to be co-owning it with Isma. I’m, therefore, asking those that have these documents, including the bond where he bought the car, to help me manage this situation,” he implored.

Blogger Ashburg Kato, who was present during the Interview, promised to bring copies of the documents because he bought his saloon car on the same day Isma bought his drone.

“We bought these cars from the same bond and on the same day and I have a copy which Isma gave me to keep for him because I was a witness when he was purchasing the van. I am going to give him this document so that Mzee Mohammad can be given the car,” he said.

Ashburg assured Kasaija that Isma never owned the van with anyone else and said he will defend him until when he receives it.
