He shot to fame as a gospel musician with several songs, among them collaborations with Pastor Wilson Bugembe like Nsookayo and Essanyu (Asumulula abasibe)
Now Dr. Brian Ddumba, born in Uganda and currently living in USA has bounced back in away different from the usual.
He has dropped visuals for his very first ever love song on his music calendar he has named ‘ First lady’. The song, he says, is inspired by a true story and unlike his singing sibling, Pastor Wilson Bugembe, he (Brian) is set to walk down the aisle soon.
Dr Ddumba explains that the song First lady is a direct dedication to his soon-to-be wife, whose details he doesn’t disclose.
“All these years, I have been praising, worshipping and preaching about the word of God through music. I guess there is no harm if I digress a bit and praise my fiancée,” he told The Kampala Sun.
Ddumba clarifies that releasing a love banger doesn’t make him a secular or lost artiste.
“I am in love and I felt compelled to sing about it. The song First Lady has a video and has already received attention across the various media broadcasters,” he reveals.
In the past few months, Ddumba has had two great songs including Blessings and Nsookayo that are collaborations with John Blaq and Pastor Wilson Bugembe respectively. His music catalogue also features other songs that includes Ekyaama, Akalulu.
