Ugandans will have a taste of the first dance movie dubbed “Dance Fest Ug” which is slated to premiere on May 27.
It is inspired by a true story about a child-headed family struggling with life’s basic needs that learns of an opportunity to participate in group dance competitions for which the prize money is a life-changing dream. The Challenge gets tough for them when one of the uptown best crews’ takes it personal.
It’s a mixture of dance and life experience. While the child-headed family fights to win a bundle of life-changing cash, works for recognized glory.
Produced and directed by Kabamba Brendah and Mugabe Lawrence respectively, it features Christopher Mujuni Bruno, Bashir Iga, Don Zaabu, Dama Grail, Frank Mukalazi, Thomas Nsirikiddebingi, Jackson Nsanja, Eunice Nassande, Teddy Aine, David Mbonye and Peter Kafuluma as major acts.
It earns its name from an extended project by Dance Fest Ug, a dance competition organized by Dance Fest Foundation that was put up by the Glory of Christ Church Kawaala headed by Pastor Herbert Kiwanuka.
