The annual coronation vintage show was held at the Kabaka’s Palace in Lubiri, Mengo over the weekend. Held under the theme, ” culture is not old fashioned, it is vintage,” the show was organized by the Buganda Heritage and tourism board.
There was a procession of cars like Vintage VW Beetles, Ford Cortinas, Angalias from Uganda Museum. They drove through the city before snaking their way to Mengo.
The guest of honor, Katikkiro, Charles Peter Mayiga arrived at 5;30 evening, inspected different vintage cars, radio cassettes, gramophones on display. The Katikkiro thanked, the Buganda heritage and tourism board for the initiative and encouraged them to make it frequent.
