The monthly corporate league night, where corporates from the 60 participating companies meet to unwind is celebrated every first Friday of the month.
It was double joy for the corporates as their night coincided with International Beer Day. Nile Breweries made it rain for those who attended the night.
The night beckons corporates to put aside their work, set aside differences on the pitch, and come together to celebrate.

The excitement was palpable from those in attendance, notably former corporate league chairmen, Dennis Mbidde Ssebugwawo, Wills Tumwiine who had a free supply of lager thanks to the generosity of the Director Legal and Corporate affairs at Nile Breweries, Onapito Ekomoloit and team.

In his brief address, Ona as he is popularly called preached smart drinking. It calls for reducing on the harmful use of alcohol, by interspersing beer with drinks or a meal.
He explained that at NBL, they believe in and share the WHO and UN Sustainable Development Goals’ ambition to reduce the harmful use of alcohol by 10% by 2025.

His meaningful message was not fully adhered to as the insatiable thirst for beer never gave many in attendance a chance to pause. Many were animated throughout the evening.

When you consider that many were Arsenal fans and their team was winning, the noise decibels were taken a notch higher. Some lucky corporates in attendance won gift hampers after a set of quiz on their knowledge on beer.
