The organisers of the Alien Skin concert at Freedom City on Entebbe Road have banned children below 15 years from attending it.
They said the show is strictly for people above 15 years because they do not want children to be at risk of suffocating due to the big crowd.
During a press conference held at Freedom City on June 8, 2023, promoter Bajjo said banning children was done as a requirement by the Police before clearing the event.
Both Pallaso and Alien have shows today, June 9, at Lugogo Cricket Oval and Freedom City, respectively. Nine people died during a stampede at Freedom City during New Year festivities.
“Security is going to pay more attention to this event than Pallaso’s because this show will be attracting many people who associate themselves with the common man. We also don’t want insecurity incidences to damage the reputation of this event,” Bajjo said.
Abbey Musinguzi aka Abtex, who is behind the Alien Skin concert, claimed to have made a record in the Ugandan entertainment industry as being the first promoter to organise a music event in one week only.
He organised the event following a viral video in which Pallaso appeared to thump Alien Skin.
“This is history made according to what we have done. It came as a surprise, but it will be a success because of its timing and circumstances that led to its promotion like Pallaso’s beating of Alien Skin,” Abtex added.
