The Cherubim Chamber Chorale has again made it. The choral ensemble, which mainly comprises young people from institutions of higher learning, threw for its fans a surprise Marian Carol Concert at the Uganda National Cultural Centre, in Kampala on Sunday (October 23, 2022).

The late evening concert attracted hundreds of Christians, who were all in a jovial mood as the choir performed an extensive repertoire of Marian songs, a good number of which were hymns of the White Fathers, which today are becoming increasingly popular because of their beautiful melodies and deep messages. Some of the songs were renditions of original melodies, which were re-arranged and given added voices and instruments.

The Director of the Choir, Jude Luwaga said the concert was in honour of the Blessed Virgin Mary, whom Catholics commemorate this month.
The Cherubim Chamber Chorale gave a super performance, which was even more elevated by the delicate organ touch of Fr. Joseph Bakka and the awesome improvisation skills of flutist Gilbert Ssettuuma.

The fans were evidently not disappointed as evidenced by the joy they lavished at the close of the show.
