The assistant parish-priest of Lubaga Cathedral, Rev. Fr. Anthony Aliddeki Musaala has paid tribute to the late Alex Ndawula, describing him as a true Ugandan patriot, who used his gifts to bring joy to Ugandans.
“Alex had the opportunity to go to many countries but he chose to remain here because he loved this country. He thought he could offer something to make Uganda better. He has left a huge legacy in the area of radio presentation in this country. He has left a reputation of professionalism among radio presenters,” said Musaala.
He was delivering his homily during the memorial mass of the late Alex Ndawula at Lubaga Cathedral on Saturday July 9,2022.
In his latter remarks, Musaala praised Ndawula for his charming personality and sense of purpose.
“Our brother Alex was an artist. He loved beautiful things. He was a musical encyclopedia. But most importantly, he knew his purpose in life and he used his gifts to achieve it.
He had a reason for doing the things he did. He educated and entertained people. He brought joy to his fans. He was full of knowledge and wisdom, which he also bequeathed to those who followed him.
As we bid him farewell, we also thank God for his life and everything he did for the country. His memory will remain in our hearts forever,” Musaala said.
The celebrated FM radio presenter, Alexander Micheal Felix Mukonzi Ndawula, who died last month (June 6,2022), was laid to rest at his ancestral burial home at Kyamaganda, Lwengo district on Sunday (July 10, 2022).
