Having scooped the award, Bobi Wine rushed to feed his fans and political supporters with the achievement he had reached at.
“Even before the official release of our Documentary film, this is what’s up,” he captioned the artwork revealing the good news,” he wrote.
The HIFF is an international film festival founded in 1992, by Joyce Robinson. The festival has since taken place every year in East Hampton, New York.
It is not the first time that his documentary has been recognized in a global space, in September, he received a 3-minute-long standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival 2022.
The documentary tracks Bobi Wine’s life as a ghetto youth and how he managed to catapult from a mere ghetto singer to a presidential aspirant.
