Congolese Soukous star Awilo Longomba, 61, has confirmed his presence at the highly anticipated, “Legends of Sound” concert featuring Afrigo Band.
Longomba, famous for the song Coupe Bibamba with the famous lyrics Comment tu t’appelles? Je m’appelle Coupé Coupé Bibamba! confirmed his presence in a video drop on Monday, 29. May.
The concert happens on August 5th at Kampala Sheraton Gardens and will coincide with Afrigo band’s 48-year-celebrations.
“Ugandans should prepare for the ultimate musical spectacle as two iconic musical forces join hands, bringing an unprecedented experience will witness the electrifying fusion of Afrigo Band and Awilo Longomba, promising an evening of pure magic,” one of the organizers from Talent Africa revealed.
They further reveal that Afrigo Band, will weave their signature sound with the infectious energy of Awilo Longomba, the renowned Congolese artist.
