Anselm Besigye, the son of four-time presidential candidate, retired Colonel Kizza Besigye and UNAIDS executive director Winnie Byanyima has received his Master’s Degree in Anthropology – MA (Anthropology) from the University of Chicago, US.
Besigye shared the news on social media congratulating Anselm: “Hearty Congratulations Anselm!! Today, @akbesigye was awarded his Master’s Degree- MA (Anthropology) from the University of Chicago! Proud of your hard Anselm work that has kept you highly recognized for your academic performance. Keep moving!”
He added: “Anselm was accompanied by his mum, girlfriend and cousins- thank you all. Blessings.”
Meanwhile, Byanyima shared photos of Anselm in his graduation gown with other two gents plus his girlfriend and captioned it, “Walking to become a graduate of the Univ of Chicago. Family and girlfriend Liz proudly cheered him on.”
Recall Anselm graduated from the prestigious Harvard University in 2021 with high scores from the faculty of Arts with a major in Anthropology. He also received a cash prize of $5,000 (sh19 million).
Besigye, at the time wrote: “We are delighted about his hard work that afforded him to graduate with distinction. His thesis was among the 2021 Thomas Temple Hoopes Prize Winners for excellent undergraduate work and excellence in the art teaching.”
