Season Six of the Singleton Match-Play Challenge came to a riveting end at the 71-par Entebbe Golf Club on Saturday, July 9.

The day kicked off with a final match play fight for the championship between Patrick Ndase: Philemon Akatuhurira and Joram Tumwine: Julius Borore and subsidiary rounds.

The competition, which got the golfers fighting for a chance at a trophy, ended with a luminous 19th whole dinner to culminate and celebrate a successful end to season six of the sought-after series.

Speaking at the event, Uganda Breweries’ managing director Andrew Kalonzo thanked the golfing fraternity for always showing up and attributed the success of the series to their commitment and passion for the game of golf.

The night’s winning pair of Patrick Ndase and Philemon Akatuhurira walked away with an all expense-paid trip to Dubai, where they will get to watch one of the world’s most prestigious golfing events.

The winning pro, Silver Opio, bagged the biggest share of sh15m kitty and hampers from HTC and DSTV.

Afrigo Band entertained the golfers with their oldies music.
