Muslims around the country have Saturday, July 9, celebrated Idd Adhuha, an Islamic holiday.
Idd Adhuha or the “Feast of Sacrifice,” is typically marked by communal prayers, large social gatherings and, for many, slaughtering of livestock and giving meat to the needy.
To mark the holiday, Muslims converged at different mosques across the country for prayers.
Muslim men, women, and children were seen celebrating the festival today with religious fervour to commemorate the sacrifice by Prophet Ibrahim.
After offering Idd prayers, animals were sacrificed to follow the Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim.
