The first edition of the Backyard Rave party, a new event which joins a list of outdoor events in Uganda, was held at Kati Kati Restaurant in Lugogo, Kampala on June 11.
The event saw top slayers and fashion-forward people gracing it.
It attracted people of all age groups and was fun packed with a number of performances, including live deejay mixes.
There was a lot of food and drinks; from soft to hard drinks.
The day’s top performers included Deejays Nimrod, Elnicho, Slaughter Elly, as well as musicians Jowy Landa and Ricky Miles.
According to the organisers, from the look of things and how the event was highly attended, the Backyard Rave will happen every month.
“The support we’ve received today (June 11) is overwhelming,” said Joan Lubega, who was part of the organising committee.
She said the second edition will feature an international artiste.
